Welcome to Youthsafe’s What’s the Plan? Safe Celebrating Kit
The DVD and CD-ROM in this kit contain resources for educators wanting to help young people successfully manage serious injury risk and promote safe celebrating behaviours, attitudes and skills.
The CD-ROM disc 1 contains:
- Three session plans on safe celebrating; negotiating negative peer influence; and creating adult/youth agreements
- Downloadable comic strips showing each of the DVD characters putting their safe celebrating strategies into action
- Downloadable activity sheets with suggested responses
- Fact sheets on youth injury, types of negative peer influence and more.
- Educators’ notes introducing the DVD and comic strip characters, a suggested program of sessions and activities, tips on adapting sessions for students with special needs, handling mandatory reporting and confidentiality issues, and life skills-based education.

The DVD disc 2 contains:
- Vox pop interviews with seven young people focusing on what they do when they go out, what goes wrong, what they’d like to change and how they can make that change happen.
- A list of safe celebrating strategies
- A strategy recall activity
